Beautifully layered! "Summer Jar Sweets" Now Available at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo

May 23, 2016

Starting June 1, Hyatt Regency Tokyo will be releasing a variety of summer-inspired sweets. From June 1 to September 19, the lounge will offer two varieties of "Jar Parfait" (1,300 yen), a parfait-style dessert served in a double-cap jar from the French airtight "Le Parfait." The tiramisu is a summery twist on the heavy summer cream, topped with granita and vanilla ice cream. Different fruit flavors will be offered depending on the season: mango from June to the end of July, and peach from the end of July. The mango version features fresh mango, mango sauce, mango ice cream, nuts, crunch, and mascarpone, creating a tropical feel. The peach version features a dacquoise base layered with fromage blanc cream, vanilla brulee, fresh peach, vanilla ice cream, and a touch of pie crust. From mid-June, the pastry shop will be selling summer "jar sweets" (570 yen) that can be enjoyed at home. They will come in five beautifully layered and colorful varieties. The lineup includes "Pistache et Fruit Rouge," which combines the nutty flavor of pistachios with a compote of red fruits such as lingonberries and raspberries, with crumble adding texture; "Chocolat Praline," which layers homemade praline cream over jelly-like chocolate and gateau chocolate; and five other varieties: "Mont Blanc Lete," "Agrume," and "Mille-feuille Tonka."
