Frederic Cassel releases "pistachio" sweets as vibrant as fresh greenery. Tarts, macarons, mille-feuille!

May 19, 2016

Inspiration, a brand by Frederic Cassel that develops sweets based on a monthly theme, will release three types of sweets themed around pistachios in June.

Inspiration's spring/summer collection offers three sweets based on the monthly theme: millefeuille fingers, tarts, and macarons. The June collection is themed around pistachios, and the collection captures the richness and texture of pistachios, as well as their rich flavor.

The millefeuille fingers pistachios (720 yen) are a caramelized millefeuille pie crust layered with pistachio praline and pistachio ganache cream, and topped with pistachio-scented mascarpone cream, white chocolate, and crushed pistachios. The tarte pistachio bronte (600 yen) is a cream tart made with mellow-flavored pistachios from Bronte, Sicily. The inside is filled with a smooth cream of white chocolate and pistachios. Also available is the "Macaron Pistache" (240 yen), a macaron with a crunchy texture added to a white chocolate-based pistachio ganache.

Also, as a new product for June, "Petit Four Coco" (10 pieces for 800 yen), small financiers with a rich buttery flavor and the aroma of moistly baked coconut, will be on sale.
