The Kihachi Aoyama flagship store, operated by SAZABY LEAGUE Co., Ltd., will be selling limited quantities of the early summer special "KIHACHI Elizabeth Pie" and "KIHACHI Kyoto Matcha and Black Bean Pie." 
 

Two early summer exclusive sweets will be added to the popular "Kihachi Pie Series" at the Kihachi Aoyama flagship store.
 
The first release, available until May 16th, is "KIHACHI Elizabeth Pie," inspired by Kihachi's signature dessert, the "Kihachi Trifle Roll(R)." It is made with layers of five kinds of fruit - strawberry, banana, kiwi, papaya, and mango - along with special diplomat cream* and crispy baked pie crust.
 
*Diplomat cream...a combination of custard cream and crème chantilly
 
The second installment is a revamped version of the "Matcha Pie", which was well received when it was first released last year.
 
This year's offering is "KIHACHI's Kyoto Matcha and Black Bean Pie", a flaky pie filled with Kyoto-grown matcha and kinako double cream, and black beans. It is a limited edition pie with a "Japanese flavor" that can be enjoyed with rich matcha gelato and a drizzle of brown sugar syrup.
 
 
Enjoy the flavors available only in early summer at Kihachi's open terrace seating, surrounded by the fresh greenery of rows of ginkgo trees.
