A new steak restaurant where you can share a chunk of meat grilled for five hours opens in Shibuya

Jun 16, 2014

Viage will open a steak restaurant, "Rogama Steak Renga" (Seiko Building 1F, 1-6-4 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 17th.

A 6kg chunk of Wagyu beef is grilled for over five hours in a custom-made brick oven. By grilling the meat in chunks of each cut, it retains moisture while achieving a concentrated, rich flavor. The meat is grilled at a set time every day (around 7:40 pm) and an unusual system has been introduced in which all guests share.

Reservations are required for visits between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and only a course meal featuring a chunk of beef is available for 6,800 yen per person. After 9:00 pm, courses and a la carte dishes are available to enjoy with Italian wine.
