Dean & Deluca's canned food collection is packed with deliciousness you can enjoy anytime, anywhere.

Dec 2, 2020
The DEAN & DELUCA canned food collection features six authentic dishes. Developed in collaboration with three unique chefs, these cans offer delicious food you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. Enjoy traditional Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese dishes straight from the can. The satisfying ingredients are carefully cooked without compromising the texture of the ingredients, and are so satisfying you'd never guess they were canned. They can be quickly served on the table when you want a quick drink or as an appetizer while waiting for the main dish to be ready, so keeping a few in your pantry will come in handy in an emergency.

Six palm-sized "feasts" ranging from appetizers to light stews.

Together with three chefs fascinated by the cuisine of each country
In developing this canned series, we worked with three chefs with roots in Italy, Portugal and Spain. The authentic flavors are captured in the same way as those served in our restaurants. Just open the can and you've got a delicious dish.

Chef Sato KojiChef Sato Koji
Chef Sato Koji from Mar de Cristiano (Yoyogi-Hachiman, Tokyo)
Chef Sato Koji is the owner and chef of the Portuguese restaurant Mar de Cristiano, where you can enjoy authentic fish dishes and canned foods that are popular in Portugal. Chef Sato Koji was drawn to Portuguese cuisine after studying cooking in various countries, and the cans he makes in-house, one by one, are like a dish in itself, with the texture, aroma, and ingredients preserved intact. By slowly and carefully applying pressure, the flavors penetrate deep into the fish and meat.

Chef Furusawa KazukiChef Furusawa Kazuki
Chef Furusawa Kazuki from Oltrevino (Kamakura and Hase, Kanagawa)
Chef Furusawa Kazuki is the owner and chef of Oltrevino, a restaurant in the "enogastronomia" style, familiar in Italy, which offers all the dishes and ingredients needed to enjoy wine to the fullest. Chef Furusawa Kazuki has experience as a chef, sommelier, grape grower, and winemaker in four regions of Italy, including Tuscany, and offers a selection of authentic Italian cuisine and prepared dishes. The restaurant is also well-known for creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Chef Obana HikaruChef Obana Hikaru
Chef Obana Hikaru, Ibiza Smoke Restaurant (Ukiha, Fukuoka)
Chef Obana Hikaru is the second-generation chef at Ibiza Smoke Restaurant, a Spanish restaurant that focuses on locally sourced ingredients, a treasure trove of ingredients, and also serves homemade salami and ham made entirely from natural ingredients. Having learned from his father and from traditional Spanish cuisine and culture, Chef Obana Hikaru pursues Spanish cuisine that makes the most of the ingredients while being in touch with nature. Her book is "Authentic Spanish Cuisine at Home" (Seibundo Shinkosha).

To make it even more delicious, add fresh ingredients to finish it off

Canned food can be enjoyed immediately by opening the can and arranging it on a plate, but with a little extra effort it can be made even more delicious. The key is to add fresh ingredients. Recommended ingredients include extra virgin olive oil, lemon, tomatoes diced to about 1cm, and coriander. Arrange them on the table and add any ingredients you like to add to add colour and make for a dish that goes even better with alcohol.

Apero, a delight at dusk
We'll introduce you to how to enjoy "Apero," a moment of light snacks and drinks before dinner.
