The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil is just two days away. While the performances of each country's fantasistas are certainly a highlight, their feet are also a major focus. This time, we'll be showcasing the latest in functional and stylish cleats, showcasing the players wearing them from each brand.

First up is adidas, who launched the "Battle Collection" for four different player types. Released on May 26th, the upper features a black-and-white graphic inspired by the combat makeup worn by indigenous Brazilian warriors during battle.

The "Predator Instinct" (Predator Instinct Japan HG WC, ¥19,000) offers improved ball control thanks to a new TPU control frame in the forefoot studs on the outsole and cushioned gel padding in the inner foot. The shoes will be worn by Japan national team players Hiroki Sakai and Shuichi Gonda, Germany's Mesut Ozil, Spain's Xavier Hernandez, and Brazil's Oscar Emboaba. The speed-focused "adizero f50" (adizero f50 Japan HG WC, 18,000 yen) features a thinner, lighter hybrid synthetic leather upper in the forefoot and Speed Foil, an ultra-thin mesh with a TPU coating in the rearfoot. The shoes will be worn by Japan national team players Shinji Kagawa and Manabu Saito, Uruguay's Luis Suarez, and France's Karim Benzema. The "adizero f50 Lionel Messi (LM)" (adizero f50 FG LM WC / 20,000 yen) is worn exclusively by Argentina national team player Lionel Messi. The seamless hybrid synthetic leather upper, made from a single piece of leather, enhances the fit, and the design features the blue that symbolizes his native Argentina. The "pathiqe 11 core" (pathiqe 11 core Japan HG WC / 12,000 yen) has enhanced fitting of the upper and sole for players who are good at balancing skills and running. It is worn by Japan's Atsuto Uchida and Yasuyuki Konno, and Germany's Philipp Lahm. The "nitrocharge 1.0" (Nitrocharge 1.0 Japan HG WC / 16,000 yen) is equipped with an "energy sling" that absorbs the load when stepping and supports the player's momentum. It will be worn by Japan's Takanori Sakai, Brazil's Daniel Alves, and Spain's Javi Martinez.
