Toranomon Hills, which opened on June 11th, is based on the concept of a "communication hub," and features a lineup of 24 restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines from around the world in the commercial area from the first to fourth floors. The extensive selection of shops caters to the needs of visitors from Japan and abroad.
The second floor is home to a lineup of international dining cafes, including "avove GRILL&BAR," a new establishment created by owner-chef Akira Watanabe that promotes the joy of chopsticks through its dishes; "Toranomon ARBOL," the second branch of a popular Italian restaurant in Kagurazaka; and ethnic restaurants. Facing the atrium, the restaurant offers an open space that leads to the adjacent garden, allowing you to enjoy the changing seasons while savoring your meal.
One particularly eye-catching spot is "Toranomon Coffee," where baristas dressed in white-coat-like uniforms quickly prepare coffee tailored to each individual's taste. The minimalist interior was designed by Kazuya Sasaki of SMALL CLONE, an interior designer known for designing shops for UNITED ARROWS and UNDERCOVER. After ordering, the barista will listen to your preferences and adjust the flavor of your coffee, sometimes even adding latte art.
The third floor features THE 3RD, a space that offers a variety of support services for office workers. Other establishments include a German beer pub popular with foreigners, a popular Hong Kong cafe and restaurant, and a Japanese bar.
The fourth floor is a street-level restaurant floor offering a wide variety of unique dining experiences. This includes the second branch of Girona, the popular Gotanda Spanish bar that's always booked, as well as sushi, udon, kushiage, steak, and French bars, each offering their own unique style. "French Cafe & Wine Toranomon Bar" is a new type of wine bar that mainly serves French garnitures (side dishes). You can enjoy authentic French cuisine that pairs well with wine at reasonable prices. At lunchtime, they offer a set menu of spicy yet creamy curry made with plenty of organic vegetables.
Also, on the first floor, Japan's first combined bistro, cafe, and épicerie (food store) shop is scheduled to open in late August.
