Adidas Japan has opened a special cafe, "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ STADIUM," in the Hills Cafe/Space in Roppongi Hills for a limited time, allowing visitors to experience the excitement and passion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, which kicks off on June 12th. It will run until August 3rd.
The cafe will display the official Adidas match ball used in previous FIFA World Cups. Supervised by Adidas contract advisors Kazushi Kimura, Hiroshi Nanami, Takashi Ogura, and Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, the cafe will also broadcast memorable scenes from previous FIFA World Cups. It will also offer a special menu themed around this year's tournament in Brazil.
In addition to Adidas Japan, companies supporting the tournament will also be holding exhibits and events showcasing their latest products and technologies. "Soccer Shop KAMO" will sell limited edition replicas of the official trophy and merchandise only available at the official event store. AGC Asahi Glass will also be installing glass benches that will be used in the actual stadium. There are also plenty of other features to enjoy throughout the tournament, including soccer games and a corner where you can take trick art photos.
At the opening event held on June 2nd, Adidas Japan Vice President Thomas Sailer took the stage and said, "Ever since Adidas founder Adi Dassler supported Germany in the 1954 World Cup, the World Cup and Adidas have become inseparable. We are extremely pleased to be able to support the World Cup through this venue with the support of various companies. We hope you will all enjoy this excitement to the fullest."
Appearing as guests at the event were Adidas contract advisor Takashi Ogura, EXILE's Nesmith, and Sandaime J Soul Brothers' Hiroomi Tosaka. They shared their impressions of the cafe, the matchup for the Brazil tournament final, and predictions for the winning country. The image song for "Adidas x EXILE '2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil'", "Victory 2014", was also unveiled for the first time on this day.
