From September 26 to November 30, 2020, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will collaborate with internationally acclaimed flower artist Nicolai Bergmann to offer the limited-time "Nicolai Bergmann Afternoon Tea," a colorful expression of Nicolai's unique worldview through sweets.

The "Nicolai Bergmann Afternoon Tea" will be available for approximately two months under two color themes, each with a different menu. The first half, from September 26 to October 31, will feature pop colors that evoke the lingering afterglow of summer, while the second half, from November 1 to 30, will feature a chic, mature color theme evoking the deepening of autumn. Executive Pastry Chef Yoshihide Hamamoto will present five sweets that are both visually appealing and bring out the deliciousness of seasonal ingredients. The five sweets on offer during both periods will feature a unique blend of Japanese and Western elements, including sweets inspired by the brand's signature "flower box," a design by Nicolai himself, and moss balls inspired by the moss found in the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto's Japanese garden, Sekisuien. Among them, the crunchy Nordic-style scones, inspired by Nicolai Bergmann's homeland of Denmark, are exclusive to this collaboration afternoon tea. These unique scones, slightly different from the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto's signature scones, renowned for their moist texture, are paired with plenty of honey. For beverages, we offer a selection of 22 premium teas from Ronnefeldt, a world-leading German tea manufacturer founded in 1823, as well as a wide variety of non-tea beverages. Guests can enjoy the combination of various tea flavors with sweets and savory dishes to their heart's content. In addition, each guest who dine on this collaborative afternoon tea will receive an original Nicolai Bergmann handkerchief.

Enjoy an autumn afternoon immersed in the artistic world of Nicolai Bergmann in the elegant and tranquil space of the resort-like Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, overlooking the historic pond garden.
