
Teva(R) (a division of Deckers Brands/NYSE:DECK), which was born in 1984 from the development of the world's first sports sandal with straps, will collaborate with US-based next-generation outdoor brand cotopaxi to release the "Original Universal Cotopaxi" on the Teva official website from July 29th.
The "Original Universal Cotopaxi" was created to commemorate Teva and Cotopaxi's commitment to "promote better corporate activities for people and the planet" by using leftover fabric and other materials generated during the production process as well as recycled materials.
This collaboration brings a reimagining of Teva's classic ORIGINAL UNIVERSAL in bright neon colors. This iconic model combines style with functionality that inspires a sense of adventure. The collaboration brings a fresh, sustainable feel to the collection, featuring recycled materials made from reclaimed materials and plastic bottles.
Teva has also donated $40,000 to a foundation established by Cotopaxi. The funds will be used to grant the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood, a US youth organization, to promote youth leadership education and outdoor activity opportunities.

Based on the classic "Original Universal" model, this design features neon color accents. The straps are customized with ripstop, inspired by classic outdoor gear and ideal for travel and adventure. The upper is made with REPREVE(R) recycled polyester and Cotopaxi remnant fabric (Cotopaxi Del Dia ripstop fabric), reducing waste to landfills. The hook-and-loop fasteners allow for easy fit adjustment. Teva's unique universal strap system provides three-point support, while the EVA foam footbed cushions for soft support for all-day comfort. The durable Durabrasion Rubber™ outsole provides excellent traction. The "Cotopaxi" name is printed on the heel.
