Gucci has opened Gucci Shibuya Miyashita Park in the North Area of RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK. The new two-floor store offers a wide range of products, from men's and women's apparel to handbags, luggage, small leather goods, shoes, jewelry, watches, silk products, belts, eyewear, and fragrances, with a sales floor space of approximately 510 square meters. A wide range of limited-edition items will also be available, including Gucci Off The Grid backpacks and men's sneakers, as well as a special selection of Gucci Horsebit 1955 and GG Marmont handbags, all of which will be available exclusively at Gucci Shibuya Miyashita Park in Japan.
The large glass façade is designed to provide unobstructed views from both inside and outside the store. Stepping inside, the unexpected combination of materials and textures inspires surprise, creating a subtle yet dramatic transformation. The lavish use of space combined with the incorporation of beautiful materials embodies Gucci's signature contemporary luxury. Traditional and modern, industrial and romantic elements blend together, echoing the collection's signature elegant, contemporary eclecticism.
The contrasting product presentations express diverse design codes, combining with each other to stimulate curiosity and invite customers to discover new facets of the store. The use of geometric painted oak and herringbone flooring creates a decorative three-dimensional effect, harmoniously integrated with the polished steel baseboards. This ingenious juxtaposition of contrasting materials is evident throughout the store. The technical display units contrast with the softness of the precious fabrics that adorn the space. Velvet walls in steel blue, sage green, and pale pink are adorned with rivets and geometric patterns. Luxurious chairs and round tables, and vintage Oriental rugs, are scattered throughout the store. The result is a space that is captivating, surprising, and imbued with the personal Gucci feel.

Now, in partnership with cultural media outlet TOKION, two of Japan's leading artists, Tadanori Yokoo and Shohei Otomo, have created special artworks for Gucci. Their work, which fuses their keen insights with the brand's key visual codes, offers a glimpse into the creative potential of these two artists. Since 1960, Yokoo has astonished the world with his unique sense of color and complex composition, and continues to have a profound influence on creators today. In this work, Tadanori collages Gucci's iconic GG pattern into two pieces: the motif from the "HANGA JUNGLE" exhibition and "Kohke." Meanwhile, Shohei Otomo, known for his ballpoint pen-based work that imbues his work with a message and soul, creates art that appeals to the visceral. In this newly drawn artwork, he demonstrates his meticulous and striking descriptive ability, incorporating key Gucci elements while evoking a distinctly Japanese aesthetic. These works will be on display inside Shibuya Station until August 2nd, and Yokoo's work will also be displayed in the window of Gucci Shibuya Miyashita Park for a limited time.
