Tully's Coffee Japan Co., Ltd. will release three types of Laotian coffee, including the seasonal "Elephant Ruby Laos" coffee beans, on June 26th.

◆Laos as a Coffee-Producing Region
The Bolaven Plateau in southern Laos is an area ideal for coffee production, with a warm climate and volcanic soil rich in minerals. Most coffee in Laos is mass-consumed commodity coffee, and the country is not well known as a producer of specialty coffee. Focusing on Laos as an emerging coffee-producing region, Tully's Coffee has been offering Laos specialty coffee in limited quantities since two years ago, with the desire to allow people to enjoy the taste of "specialty coffee made in Laos."

◆Processing Method Ordered by Tully's
In order to bring out distinctive characteristics that are rarely found in washed coffee, the processing method typically used in Laos, we ordered the natural (dry) method, in which the pulp is left on. By drying the coffee cherries in plenty of sunlight, the sweetness and fruitiness of the pulp permeates the coffee beans. Enjoy the impressive flavor reminiscent of melon and lychee, and the rich aroma.

[Origin]
Bolaven Plateau, Champasak Province, Laos
[Key words to describe flavor]
Melon (like a melon), Sweet (sweet), Aromatic (highly fragrant)
At Tully's Coffee, our staff selects coffees with unique and distinctive characteristics through actual cupping evaluations, without being bound by the brand or grade of origin. This "Elephant Ruby Laos" is a coffee that was finally completed after much discussion on the ground. Laotian coffee is still rare in Japan. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the rich aroma and strong sweetness that is unique to Laos.

*Not available at all stores.
