[2023 Christmas Cake] Conrad Tokyo's high-quality Christmas sweets, painstakingly crafted by the pastry team

Conrad Tokyo (Minato Ward, Tokyo) will once again offer a luxurious lineup of high-quality Christmas sweets, meticulously crafted by the pastry team led by award-winning executive pastry chef Masaki Okazaki. The menu includes five types of Christmas cakes, including the berry-filled shortcake, which has been immensely popular since 2016, as well as the vegan Bûche Chocolat Orange, which uses no animal ingredients such as eggs or dairy products, and a ganache chocolate made with sustainable chocolate and free-range eggs. There will also be a Christmas cake for dogs.


Other options include the classic stollen, available in two varieties: one with a traditional German flavor and one with a rich, fragrant stollen dough made with dried fruit soaked in "Moulin Williamine," the finest pear brandy made only from carefully selected William pears from the Rhone Valley, as well as mango and chocolate chips. Panettone, a Christmas bread confection originating in Italy, is available in two flavors: traditional and strawberry. The shop also offers a diverse lineup of Christmas pound cakes, made with grass-fed butter, which is made from milk from cows raised on grass and is rich in carotene and conjugated linoleic acid, a type of unsaturated fatty acid.

Our pastry team also carefully handcrafts each adorable Christmas icing cookie featuring seasonal designs such as gingerbread men and Christmas trees. Enjoy a memorable holiday season with Conrad Tokyo's luxurious Christmas sweets, both in appearance and taste.

Conrad Tokyo's signature cake is a berry-filled shortcake. It is generously garnished with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and more, and is made of moist, finely baked sponge cake sandwiched between layers of elegantly sweet whipped cream and strawberries. ■Priere


A ruby chocolate cake decorated with white chocolate in the image of fluffy white snow and Christmas trees. The cake is made of a moist sponge cake baked with a combination of chocolate and almonds, and is surrounded by a raspberry mousse made with plenty of ruby chocolate. The center is made up of two layers of cinnamon-sautéed bananas and caramel mousse. The contrast between this elegant taste and its adorable appearance is captivating.

■Chocolat Orange Bouche


This vegan Christmas cake does not contain any animal ingredients, such as eggs or dairy products. Its design is inspired by a tree stump. The smooth, melt-in-your-mouth mousse, made from a mix of soy milk and vegan chocolate, is filled with a hazelnut sponge, crunchy chocolate cookies, and orange jam. The nuts on the outside add to the unique flavor of this vegan cake.

A chocolate cake made with rare sustainable Panamanian chocolate and free-range eggs from Chocolatorie de Opera, a leading French manufacturer of couverture chocolate for confectionery. A tart base made with chopped chestnuts simmered in their skins is placed in the center on top of a baked tart shell filled with almond cream, and the side is lined with a cream made from a paste of chestnuts from Ibaraki Prefecture, which makes use of the sweetness of the chestnuts without adding any added sweeteners. This is a Christmas cake that allows you to fully enjoy the natural flavor and taste of chestnuts.
