Grand Hyatt Tokyo (Minato Ward, Tokyo), a dynamic luxury hotel towering above the hustle and bustle of the city, is once again offering its popular summer-only BBQ terrace plan. The Oak Door, a steakhouse that showcases dynamic cooking using carefully selected ingredients, will be hosting the "Oak Door Summer Terrace BBQ Road Trip" starting June 1st.

This year, the popular terrace-only BBQ plan, a midsummer night treat, will be presented by an American chef, showcasing authentic American BBQ and overflowing with love for the region. Barbecue is especially popular in the American South and Central regions, where a barbecue grill is typically installed in every home's backyard. It's common for the father, the head of the household, to serve his family as the pitmaster, and it's considered a part of everyday life.
At The Oak Door, we offer shared plates so you can enjoy authentic American cuisine while chatting with friends and family. Enjoy five types of meat, seafood, and side dishes carefully selected by our chefs on the steakhouse's charcoal grill and broiler oven, which reach temperatures of 900°C, on our open-air terrace in an international atmosphere. We also offer plans that include free-flowing tropical fruit cocktails and ice-cold beer, created by the bartenders at The Oak Door Bar. Experience a gourmet road trip along Route 66, traversing the American South through food, right in Roppongi 6-Chome.

The highlight of this year's terrace dinner will be five different styles of barbecue, each prepared using traditional methods to represent the states and regions of the central and southern United States. The brisket, a signature barbecue of Central Texas, is made with domestic beef with just the right amount of marbling, and is flavorful and tender enough to easily fall apart with your hands. Pulled pork, a favorite in Memphis, Tennessee, and North Carolina, is made by shredding pork cooked at a low temperature and tossing it in a sauce. We also recommend enjoying it burger-style in a sweet potato bun. Other dishes on the menu include White Smoke smoked sausages, fragrantly grilled brick chicken, and our chef's signature pork ribs, a popular takeout option. We'll also offer a mixed seafood barbecue grill featuring barbecue shrimp, a specialty of New Orleans, Louisiana, located on the Gulf of Mexico, and generously portioned, thick-cut grilled scallops. Three side dishes complement the barbecue: vinegary coleslaw, a must-have for barbecue, creamy potato salad with garlic dressing, and grilled corn seasoned with chili powder and cilantro. The free-flow plan also includes tropical fruit cocktails created by the Oak Door Bar's bartenders to brighten up summer nights, as well as a selection of carefully selected craft beers to quench your thirst. This summer, why not indulge in a midsummer night at the Oak Door Summer Terrace “BBQ Road Trip”?
