Hotel New Otani, Hotel New Otani Makuhari, and Hotel New Otani Osaka will be hosting a new strawberry sweets buffet, "Sweets & Sandwich Buffet - New Strawberry Picking at the Hotel." 

Since its launch in 2008, the strawberry sweets buffet has been a hit at Hotel New Otani's three directly managed hotels in Tokyo, Makuhari, and Osaka. This winter, as the culmination of nearly 10 years of evolution, a sweets buffet with new elements will be launched at all three hotels.
These strawberry sweets are carefully crafted by our chef pastry chefs using only the most delicious strawberries of the season. This time, guests can enjoy seasonal sweets made with seasonal strawberries, including the "King of Strawberries," "Hakata Amaou®."

A highlight of the menu is the "Super Amaou Shortcake," meticulously crafted to maximize the flavor of the strawberries. The cream is tailored to match the flavor of the Amaou strawberries, using 48% fresh cream from Omuta, Kyushu, ensuring an exquisite melt-in-the-mouth texture. The sugar used is mellow-tasting Wasanbon sugar to preserve the delicate flavor of the Amaou strawberries, and the eggs used are "Taiyo Tamago," pesticide-free eggs from Nagasaki Prefecture, resulting in a fluffy texture. The hotel's signature cake will be available in buffet size at three hotels in Tokyo, Makuhari, and Osaka.
There will also be a strawberry shortcake tasting, made with strawberries in season from all over Japan. Only at a hotel can you luxuriously enjoy the differences in strawberries through shortcake.

In addition, this time, Pierre Hermé's "Soft Serenade" will be available as a sweet exclusive to Hotel New Otani. It is a luxurious soft serve ice cream made with Amaou strawberries, accented with rhubarb, Amaou strawberries, and passion fruit. This premium sweet is only possible because the world's first Pierre Hermé Paris store is located at Hotel New Otani. In Tokyo, the desserts will be served at the "FRIDAY NIGHT BUFFET -AMAOU SWEETS & DJ MUSIC LOUNGE-" night buffet, which will be held every Friday from January 10th to March 27th, 2020.

In addition to authentic sweets, guests can enjoy a selection of classic and unique sandwiches, including the hotel's traditional classic cutlet sandwich, which is filled with exquisite crispy fried cutlet, and the new "New Tokyo Soy Meat Burger," which uses soy meat, a meat that is attracting attention as the next generation. Guests can also enjoy authentic hotel menu items created by the head chef of each hotel.
