LADURÉE will be selling its new Galette des Rois, "Galette des Rois Neroli," from January 2nd to 22nd, 2020, at its Aoyama, Ginza, Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, Shibuya Shoto, Yokohama, and Kyoto Shijo stores.

"Galette des Rois Neroli" (3,100 yen/serves 6) is a reinterpretation of the Galette des Rois, a traditional French pastry used to celebrate the New Year. Inspired by "neroli," an essential oil extracted from bitter orange trees, also known as "orange flower," the delicate and subtle fragrance of neroli flowers gives off a sweet, honey-like flavor.
The crispy, golden-baked pie crust is filled with pistachio and orange flower-flavored almond cream, orange and mandarin confit, and topped with a crunchy almond and pistachio tuile, orange peel, rosebuds, and finely crushed pistachios. It also contains a flower-shaped fève, which will determine the king and queen of the day, making it a luxurious dish in both taste and appearance.
Also, from December 26th, a limited quantity "Coffret de Fèves" (3,200 yen) will be available, featuring fèves in the motif of four flowers essential to Ladurée: rose, orange flower, corn poppy, and violet, housed in a gold box. Why not start the new year in style surrounded by flowers?
