Special cookies from Izumiya Tokyo store are now available as cakes

The collaboration between Izumiya Tokyo store and Sadaharu Aoki Paris was made possible by the shared desire of both brands to "delight customers with sweets made with carefully selected ingredients."
The second collaboration product is four types of cakes born from a playful spirit, inspired by the question, "What if I, now a pastry chef, were to take the cookies I loved as a child and give them a twist?" Having eaten Izumiya's special cookies for the first time in a while, Aoki felt a nostalgic taste and combined them with a nostalgic ingredient, buttercream, to create a cake. Combining cookies filled with childhood memories with crème au aur, Aoki's signature flavor now that he's become a world-leading pastry chef, this one-of-a-kind cake fuses the flavors and feelings of the past and present.

The four collaboration cakes will be on sale at "Sinful Temptation...Seven Days Buried in Sweets," which will be held at Isetan Shinjuku from March 22, 2023.

Product Overview

Izumi à la Fraise 1,080 yen (tax included)
A cute cake inspired by Mr. Izumi, the representative of Izumiya Tokyo store. Sweet and sour strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberries are sandwiched between "Ring Tarts", a cookie shaped like a lifebuoy, the symbol of Izumiya. The contrast between the gentle flavor of the Ring Tarts and the sweet and sour taste of the strawberries is striking.

Sable Pistache 864 yen (tax included)
A crispy baked walnut cookie that makes the most of the flavor and aroma of walnuts is combined with pistachio butter cream. Crushed pistachios add richness and aroma. You can enjoy the fragrant taste created by the combination of two types of nuts.

Milano 1,080 yen (tax included)
A rich cake featuring chocolate and coffee. The three flavors of chocolate cookie, cream fingers with a hint of ginger, and coffee buttercream create a trinity, and the vanilla flavor of Sprise hidden inside leaves a gentle lingering aftertaste.

Noisette Piemon 864 yen (tax included)
Peanut cookies with an exquisite combination of fragrant peanuts and vanilla flavor, topped with a generous amount of praline buttercream and coarsely crushed hazelnuts. The crunchy texture of the nuts and cookies goes perfectly with the smooth melt-in-your-mouth cream.

Brand Details

[Izumiya Tokyo Store]
Founded in 1927, Izumiya Tokyo was the first store in Japan to sell cookies. It all began when the founder decided to make nutritious, handmade cookies for children. Carrying on that passion, we continue to make cookies made with love, using only our own hands, to gently accompany family gatherings and bring comfort and peace of mind.

[Sadaharu Aoki Paris]
In 1998, we opened an atelier in Paris, France, and in 2001, opened Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki Paris in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. In 2007, Chef Sadaharu Aoki became a French member of Relais Desserts (the world's leading organization of pastry artisans). With the motto of "bringing joy to people through sweets," we focus on the finest ingredients and deliver authentic French sweets that Parisians recognize as delicious.
