Jul 30, 2019
Shiseido Parlour will be holding the "2019 Midsummer Parfait Fair" at Salon de Cafe in their Ginza flagship store from July 2nd to August 25th.

The fair will be held in two periods, the first from July 2nd to 31st, and the second from August 1st to 25th. In addition to the strawberry parfait that will be available throughout the year, there will be a lineup of six parfaits centered around fruits that are carefully selected for their origin and seasonality, with three types available for each period.

First Round
(July 2nd - 31st)

The first round, running from July 2nd to 31st, will feature peach, apple mango, and blueberry parfaits.

"Arakawa Peach Parfait from Sakai Farm, Wakayama Prefecture" (¥2,160 including tax)
The "Arakawa Peach Parfait from Sakai Farm, Wakayama Prefecture" (¥2,160 including tax) uses Arakawa Peaches, a rare and rare brand of peach that is representative of Wakayama Prefecture and difficult to obtain in Tokyo. Fresh, ripe peaches are also used in the pink peach sorbet and jelly, filling your mouth with the rich aroma and gentle sweetness of the peach.

"Okinawa Apple Mango Parfait" (2,580 yen including tax)
The "Okinawa Apple Mango Parfait" (2,580 yen including tax) is made with luxurious Okinawan apple mangoes, which have a melt-in-your-mouth soft flesh and a refined sweetness with just the right amount of acidity and rich flavor. The milk ice cream and berry sauce add even more depth to the flavor.

"Blueberry Parfait from Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture" (1,980 yen including tax)
"Blueberry Parfait from Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture" (1,980 yen including tax) uses large blueberries that are packed full of flavor and have a crunchy texture, and is also used in the sorbet, cream, and jelly. The homemade milk ice cream brings out the sweetness and tartness of the blueberries. The pairing with the Muscat jelly at the bottom of the glass is also enjoyable.

Second Round
(August 1st - 25th)

The second round, starting August 1st, will feature fig, Keitt mango, and, for the first time ever, melon parfaits.

"Kinokawa Fig Parfait, Wakayama Prefecture (¥2,160 including tax)

The Kinokawa Fig Parfait, Wakayama Prefecture (¥2,160 including tax) uses lavish figs in a variety of ingredients, including a compote stewed in red wine, sauce, sorbet, and tuile, allowing you to enjoy the full flavor of seasonal figs. It's topped with rounded figs and a fig and apple jelly.

"Okinawa Apple Mango Parfait" (¥2,580 including tax)

The "Okinawa Apple Mango Parfait" (¥2,580 including tax) is a summery treat, topped with tropical homemade mango sorbet, exotic sauce, milk ice cream, and cranberry sauce. Starting in mid-August, we'll be using Keitt mangoes, known as the "mysterious mango" due to the limited number of farmers in Okinawa. Enjoy their melt-in-your-mouth smooth texture.

"Furano Melon Parfait from Furano City, Hokkaido" (¥1,980 including tax)

The "Furano Melon Parfait from Furano City, Hokkaido" (¥1,980 including tax) uses sweet and fragrant Furano melons from Furano City, Hokkaido. This dish combines juicy, firm melon flesh with the shop's traditional, rich and refreshing vanilla ice cream and refreshing hibiscus jelly. The cranberry sauce adds a touch of elegance and makes a perfect pairing.

"Koihime Strawberry Parfait from Shinshu Hatakobo, Nagano Prefecture" (1,890 yen including tax)
The "Koihime Strawberry Parfait from Shinshu Hatakobo, Nagano Prefecture" (1,890 yen including tax), which is available all year round, is a masterpiece that uses "Koihime", a summer and autumn strawberry harvested in Shiseido Parlour's dedicated greenhouse at Shinshu Hatakobo, even in the sauce. You can enjoy the classic deliciousness of the refreshing acidity unique to summer and autumn strawberries matched with traditional vanilla ice cream.

Why not try this cool and sweet parfait made with carefully selected fruits for your summer sweet treats?
