If you're curious, give it a try! On May 12th, I stayed at "an/other TOKYO," a new hotel that just opened in Kyobashi, Tokyo.

The intriguing concept of "an/other = A little different. A little new" was so compelling that I knew I had to check it out, so I took a quick trip after work.
I spend my days in Tokyo on a different line, at a different station than usual, but just the different situation made me feel like I was visiting a new city. I'm heading back to the hotel today.
The cafe on the first floor, CAF&E an/other, can be accessed from the street.

Another Tokyo is conveniently located just outside the A4 exit of Kyobashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line (about a one-minute walk!). Tokyo Station and Ginza are within walking distance, and downtown areas like Asakusa and Kuramae are just a 20-minute train ride away, making it a great place to stay for tourists.

As we arrived after 8pm that day, we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant "EAT an/other".
Here is the menu I chose. For the appetizer, I chose "Fresh Fish Carpaccio", which is perfect for enjoying with an evening drink.
"Fresh Fish Carpaccio" 1,200 yenI love adding fresh lemon, so this one comes with two pieces of lemon, which is great. It's not often that I can monopolize an appetizer menu like this, but today I'll be bold. After all, it's a short trip.

For the main course, I ordered the "Chef's Special Beef Stew." The meat melted in my mouth and was delicious...and it didn't disappoint.
By the way, the chef at "EAT an/other" is a former chef from "Restaurant Tateyama," a famous Toranomon restaurant that was loved by many but closed down. No wonder the food is delicious.

It's quite filling, but dessert is another option.

After a fun dinner like this, we headed to our room.
The 10-story building consists of a hotel, cafe, and restaurant. Of the 200 hotel rooms, 64 are what are known as "compartments."
This is the type of room I stayed in.

Amenities include bath products such as shampoo and body soap, as well as skin care products such as cleansing and lotion. You can come empty-handed after work.

The majority of the 136 rooms are "cabins" in three sizes: S, M, and L. These "cabins" are minimalist spaces with a bed and desk, and the plumbing and bathroom are shared. Incidentally, there are different areas for men and women.

While the space is kept to a minimum, the secluded feel that values personal space is a nice touch.

The stylish and calming interior, unified in the greige color theme of the entire building, is also appealing.

Of course it's great for a quick overnight stay alone, but it would also be fun to stay with friends.
The next morning, we headed to the restaurant "EAT an/other".
In the morning, coffee, tea and water (with lemon!) are self-service and served from the drink bar.

That morning, guests were given the option to choose one dish from three menu items, and I chose the Western-style rice porridge with salad. The rice porridge, with minestrone soup and rice, was delicious!
Feeling completely satisfied in both body and mind, I returned to work at the editorial department that morning.
Next time I stay at the hotel, I'd like to try the takeout breakfast at the cafe, CAFÉ an/other.

Just one night, but one night nonetheless. Let's continue to enjoy After Six!
