Popular Chiba bakeries gather together! Boso Bread Festival "Panganite" will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Mobara Park

Event Date:2019.04.20-04.21
Apr 8, 2019
The Boso Bread Festival "Panga Night" will be held over the two-day weekend of April 20th and 21st at Mobara Park in Chiba.

Panga Night has become one of the leading bread festivals in the country, attracting the attention of many bread lovers as an event where you can stop by the festival after a picnic in a spacious, natural park. If you're tired of the bread festivals in the city, we highly recommend this laid-back festival on the outskirts of Tokyo.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of the festival, and popular bakeries, mainly from Chiba, will be gathering together. In addition to approximately 30 bakeries, over 50 food, sweets, drinks, and miscellaneous goods vendors have been confirmed (as of March 22nd).

Mugitakumi, a traditional bakery housed in an old Japanese house in Yachimata City, is popular for its delicious, safe and secure handmade bread made with ancient and domestic wheat. The event will feature authentic German bread and semi-hard bread made with homemade sourdough.

Natural Yeast Bread Tsumugi, open only on Wednesdays, will offer natural yeast bread and baked goods. Pesible Mobara, a local bakery based in Mobara Park, where the event will be held, has a popular bread called shokupan (sliced bread). Other varieties planned for availability include bean paste bread, mugwort bean paste bread, cream bread, grape bread, walnut bread, melon bread, chocolate cornet, cream cheese cranberry, mentaiko cheese, mushroom and bacon focaccia, bacon cheese epi, country bread, and many more.

Have a picnic surrounded by the refreshing fresh greenery, savoring lots of delicious bread! Check out the official "Panga Night" Facebook page for details and updated information on stalls.
