"Oedo Wa-en 2019: Soba and Sake Exposition," Japan's largest soba and sake event, will be held over five days from June 12th to 16th at the Yoyogi Park Event Square in Tokyo, bringing together famous soba and sake restaurants from all over the country.

This year marks the fourth time the event has been held, and it is a popular "soba festival" that attracts approximately 150,000 people each time. This year, the event will be held in June, just as summer approaches, and will feature a lineup of soba noodles with a refreshing texture and flavor.
They serve freshly made and boiled soba noodles made with seasonal ingredients, such as Fukui Prefecture's "Echizen Soba" served with spicy grated daikon radish, and Tokyo's Okutama "Natural Wasabi Soba" topped with plenty of wasabi. Also noteworthy are the crisply chilled, refreshing sake selections. They will feature rare brands like Yamagata Prefecture's "Juyondai" and Yamaguchi Prefecture's "Dassai," which are known for their limited nationwide shipments and are sure to sell out, as well as sake from all over Japan. Enjoy a tasting and comparison of the different varieties along with your soba.
Details about the soba and sake that will be available will be announced on the official website and other channels from time to time.
