If you're looking for a White Day gift, try Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi's cake [EDITOR'S BLOG]

Located near Todoroki Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, P&A circ;TISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI is a renowned patisserie in the sweets world.

Chef and pastry chef Asako Iwayanagi opened the shop in December 2015, naming it after herself. Last October, a new store, "Asako Iwayanagi Plus," selling crepes, biscuits, and chocolates, opened next to the main store.

The parfaits served in the store's salon (which we previously covered) are a beloved dessert that is so well-known that they are an essential part of any discussion of P&A ASAKO IWAYANAGI, captivating the eyes and palates of countless customers. However, cakes are also the star of the shop.

It seems that all the cakes in the display case can be converted into whole cakes and reserved.

I was suddenly drawn in by the sparkling cakes and jellies in the inorganic glass case, and this is an unforgettable impression I had when I first visited the store.

The pink cake, reminiscent of a pearl necklace, and the Mont Blanc have a shape never before seen, the mousse is gently enveloped in gyuhi, and the cheesecake is topped with cream. The creations of Iwayanagi's unique aesthetic sense are new, ephemeral, and free.

The Mont Blanc's unbalanced shape was inspired by a mountain pass. The paste, made with a combination of cherry blossom bean paste and Japanese chestnuts, is filled with a generous amount of fresh cream, with cherry compote hidden in the center. The light chantilly melts smoothly as you savor its gentle sweetness. Its beauty makes you hesitate to put your fork in it, but you'll feel happy just by looking at it for a moment.

Once you eat it, it's gone. Looking at it, tasting it, savoring it—it only takes a few minutes, but it's a luxurious experience that will surely bring you happiness. If you're unsure what gift to give this White Day, why not give a cake from Patisserie Asako Iwayanagi?
