Gemstones, gifts from nature delivered from the earth, are transformed into beautiful jewelry using Bvlgari's exceptional craftsmanship. The chocolate gems, named "Chocolate Gems," reflect the unwavering passion of Bvlgari, a high jeweler. For Valentine's Day 2023, Bvlgari returned to its roots, using ingredients grown in sustainable environments with the aim of improving the lives of producers, and through repeated trial and error to reduce food waste and other aspects of the environment, the stunning and delicious Chocolate Gems were born thanks to the exceptional craftsmanship of Maître chocolatier Kanako Saito.

At Bvlgari Il Cioccolato, we have divided the 17 SDGs into three categories: environment, society, and economy, and have created our flavors based on the model that sustainable social life is built on nature and the environment, with economic development based on that foundation. By partnering with Fairtrade Label Japan, business partners and producers who are proactive in supporting the SDGs, we are realizing "revitalized partnerships" to achieve goals 1 to 16 of the 17th SDG.

■Hazelnut Praline
-To the future-
This "vegan chocolate gems" option represents a metaphor for people from different food cultures being able to share the same food experience and time. Each gem also speaks to the importance of protecting the global environment.
*Homemade praline paste made from caramelized hazelnuts from Piedmont is combined with three spices (cardamom, cinnamon, and thyme *all organic) and vegan chocolate, then coated with bitter chocolate. This vegan chocolate uses Valrhona's "Amatica 46%".

Green Lemon
-Nothing is ever wasted, everything is important-
Green lemons grown using natural farming methods on Mt. Kankitsu, home to the Odawara art site "Enoura Observatory," are used entirely in this chocolate, from the peel to the fruit and even the seeds, to convey the message of responsibility and not wasting food.
*This chocolate is made using whole green lemons grown using natural farming methods, and is coated in bitter chocolate with a milk chocolate ganache enhanced by cream infused with jasmine tea leaves.

Mt. Kankitsu/KANKITSUZAN, Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture (Plants and People Co., Ltd.)
The hills of Cape Enoura, facing Sagami Bay, once thrived with citrus fruit cultivation, but with the passage of time, abandoned farmland has been spreading. Aiming to revitalize this land, we are working to harness the power of nature and cultivate crops without the use of pesticides.

Almond Praline
-Enrich minds - Richer and happier-
These chocolate gems are made with fair trade organic cocoa from Ghana and sugar from India, supporting producers and workers in developing countries. They were created with the hope of creating a happy world filled with smiles, no matter where people live on Earth. (Mass balance applied, content: 25%)
Praline is made using Sicilian almonds and Indian sugar, combined with chocolate and orange zest, and coated in milk chocolate.

TANO ORGANIC FARMERS / Tachibana Shoten Co., Ltd.
One of the agricultural cooperatives in Ghana. The farms belonging to this cooperative, which is committed to organic farming, use grass, cocoa pods, and other materials as fertilizer. We ship precious, organically certified cocoa beans from regions where organic farming is difficult due to local characteristics. *Bvlgari Il Cioccolato is the first luxury brand in the world to receive International Fairtrade Certification for its "Almond Praline" chocolate.

■Basil
-Living with Nature-
Using ingredients grown using natural farming methods to protect the fertile land, this chocolate expresses our quest for coexistence and symbiosis with nature. The holy basil from "Paysan" in Ishikawa Prefecture, selected by our maître chocolatier, has a subtle bitterness and a refreshing aroma. Powdered dried holy basil is combined with water to create a ganache, which is then coated with bitter chocolate.

Paysan, Kahoku District, Ishikawa Prefecture
In this harsh climate, we have been working for over 20 years to create an environment that maximizes the natural potential of the land, without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or compost. We also engage in agricultural-welfare collaboration to support future agricultural leaders.

The sparkle of these four chocolate gems embodies our hope that the bonds between people, and between people and nature, will be filled with AMORE (love). The colors of the Diva, one of Bvlgari's jewelry icons, featured on the packaging also reflect this message.
