Dandelion Chocolate will be holding the Craft Chocolate Market 2019, a bean-to-bar chocolate festival, at The Fleming House in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Tokyo, on January 19th and 20th, 2019.

Bean-to-bar chocolate is a new chocolate category that originated in the United States and has gradually spread to Japan since around 2014. It refers to the process of completing the entire process, from beans to bars, in a single workshop. Currently, there are approximately 100 manufacturers in Japan, and new brands are constantly being born, making it one of the most dynamic craft scenes today.

Last time, this event attracted over 2,000 chocolate lovers, with advance tickets selling out. This year, leading Japanese craft chocolate makers like Dandelion Chocolate, Chiba Prefecture's Artisan Chocolate 33, Hiroshima Prefecture's rit. craft chocolate and coffee, and Kagoshima Prefecture's NESARI CHOCOLATE will once again be appearing, along with popular international makers. Rare chocolates previously unsold or imported to Japan, such as Vanuatu's Gaston Chocolat and Australia's Atypical Chocolate, will also be on display.

In addition, a networking reception (pre-registration required) will be held the night before the event, on January 18th. This is a valuable opportunity to speak directly with key figures driving the bean-to-bar culture both in Japan and overseas.
