Nov 12, 2018
Shiseido Parlour has begun accepting reservations for its "Christmas Cake 2018" in limited quantities at its Ginza flagship store. It will also be selling the traditional German pastry, "Stollen," from December 1st.

"Cocotte de Noel aux Fraises" (11,500 yen including tax)
This popular Christmas cake, exclusive to the Ginza flagship store, comes in a lineup of four varieties.

"Cocotte de Noel aux Fraises" (11,500 yen including tax) is an incredibly soft cocotte cake, made with the equivalent of about 50 strawberries per cake, which are used for decoration, slicing, sandwiching, jelly, and jam. The extremely thinly sliced, finely textured sponge cake is combined with fresh cream and homemade strawberry jam, allowing you to fully experience the freshness and sweet-and-sour taste that is the true joy of strawberries. We recommend scooping the cake up onto a plate with a large spoon and enjoying it while savoring the overflowing strawberry aroma.

"Buche de Noel Marron" (5,940 yen including tax)
The new cake, "Buche de Noel Marron" (5,940 yen including tax), is made with domestic Japanese chestnuts and has a gentle flavor of chestnuts and chocolate. The cognac-flavored chestnut mousse is filled with vanilla cream containing chopped chestnuts in their skins and a rich chocolate crème. This cake for grown-ups features a light texture and a chic design reminiscent of a winter forest.

"Gâteau Noel" (6,480 yen including tax)
"Gâteau Noel" (6,480 yen including tax) is a classic three-tiered shortcake that resembles a tree, with a pink holly motif made from chocolate as the highlight. Made with fluffy sponge cake and light, melt-in-your-mouth, not-too-sweet fresh cream, the cake is decorated with bright red strawberries. It's also sandwiched with strawberry jelly, giving it the feel of a strawberry shortcake.

"Gâteau Cadet Noel" (6,685 yen including tax)
"Gâteau Cadet Noel" (6,685 yen including tax) is the Christmas version of the Ginza flagship store's signature cake, called "Present." The harmony between the chocolate mousse fragrant with Earl Grey tea and the maple mascarpone mousse is exquisite. It also contains dried apricots, feuillantine with dried persimmon, and dacquoise noisette, and is presented in a way that allows you to enjoy the textures and flavors, just like a gift box.

The "Christmas Cake 2018" comes with a limited-edition cool bag just for Christmas 2018. Reservations are accepted until December 15th, and pickup is available in-store only from December 21st to 25th.

"Stollen" (¥2,484 including tax)
On December 1st, the traditional German cake "Stollen" (¥2,484 including tax) went on sale, building up the excitement leading up to Christmas. In Germany, this traditional cake is eaten sliced into small pieces during Advent (the period leading up to Christmas). The fermented dough contains chopped almonds with the skin on, and is topped with fruit flavored with liquor and flavored with spicy notes such as cinnamon. After baking, the cookies are dipped in browned butter while still hot to make the dough moist, and then finished with a sprinkling of fine granulated sugar for a crunchy texture.

Why not spend some precious time with family and friends enjoying Shiseido Parlour's Christmas sweets?
