"Osechi Sweets" (¥20,000) is an assortment of sweets packed into a 12-tiered paulownia wood box. The sweets are packed with the bounty of nature, including the "Zodiac Sweets," made of sweet bean paste made from carefully soaked red beans, soybeans, and black beans covered in honey in the shape of a boar's cub and finished with a glossy agar coating, as well as raw rakugan shaped like sea bream, perfect for special occasions, and candied vegetables and fruits.

Kagami mochi (1,500 yen) has been displayed since ancient times as an offering to the New Year deity. HIGASHIYA offers it in a smaller size with a small mandarin orange on top.

The Steamed Chestnut Yokan (1,800 yen) is made by wrapping candied chestnuts with their skins in specially made steamed yokan in natural bamboo leaves and steaming them slowly and carefully. You can enjoy the flavor of the chestnuts and the just the right amount of sweetness of the yokan along with its soft, chewy texture.

"Kakigoromo" (460 yen each, 2,600 yen for 5 in a paulownia box, 3,980 yen for 8) is made using a whole Ichida persimmon from Nagano Prefecture, sandwiched between special white bean paste and thinly sliced butter that melts in your mouth, and finished with a generous dusting of Jonan flour. 
The subtle saltiness of the butter brings out the sweetness of the dried persimmon and white bean paste, creating a luxurious taste. The sale period is from October 1st to late January 2019.  "Apple and Cinnamon Domyoji Jelly Bean Paste" (1,800 yen)

"Apple and Cinnamon Domyoji Jelly Bean Paste" (1,800 yen) is a seasonal domyoji jelly that combines domestic apples that are preserved in honey when in season with cinnamon. This dish allows you to enjoy the chewy texture of domyoji flour along with the aroma of cinnamon that brings out the sweetness of the apples.

At Shichi-Go-San, an event celebrating children's growth, parents eat long, thin chitose candy as a wish for their children's long life. HIGASHIYA also offers "Chitose Ame" (3 sticks for 800 yen, 5 sticks for 1,000 yen), a red and white candy made using the traditional method of boiling down starch syrup and sugar, which melts in the mouth, in original bags decorated with attractive designs such as cranes and turtles, and pine, bamboo, and plum trees.
