Japan's largest bread festival, "Bread Festival 2018 Autumn in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse," will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Square from September 15th to 17th. The event will offer the first-ever tasting ticket and special breads exclusive to this event.


The first-ever project at the "Bread Festival," the "2018 Autumn Limited Edition Bread Tasting Set + Priority Admission Ticket" (3,240 yen), is a great value set that includes a luxurious assortment of limited edition breads made by participating bakeries for the event, which you can taste and compare, as well as a priority admission ticket that lets you enter the bakery area first without having to wait in line. The assortment includes trial-sized breads from Masuya Shoten, Boulangerie Atsushi, AFFIDAMENTO BAGEL, Oheso Cafe & Bakery, Kanom Pan, Cafe Planet Chocolat, GU-GU-BAKERY, Bakery Couronne, Gruppe, Pan no Ki, Pan Plus, Scone and Tea Time famfam, Tokyo Baguette Baguette, Les Freres, Happoen BLUE TREE, and Hishida Bakery. Tickets are on sale from August 18th at Ticket Pia, with a limited number available each day.

Boulangerie Tateru Yoshino Plus "Beef Fillet Cutlet Sandwich" (5,400 yen including tax)

The second installment of the special bread campaign will feature the Michelin-starred, ultra-luxury "Beef Fillet Cutlet Sandwich" from Boulangerie Tateru Yoshino Plus, and the SAWAMURA-exclusive "Lamb, Chestnut, and Maple Brioche" from Sawamura, a renowned Karuizawa restaurant that is participating in the special bread campaign for the first time.

The "Beef Fillet Cutlet Sandwich" is a special sandwich that is not normally sold, made using a beef dish that is also served at the restaurant's parent, the high-end French restaurant Tateru Yoshino Ginza. 120g of beef fillet is deep-fried and paired with a sauce of Madeira wine and port wine with black truffles. The brioche dough is made with plenty of butter and eggs for a rich flavor. Only 20 pieces are available per day, and it will only be sold on September 16th and 17th.

The "Lamb Chestnut Maple Brioche" is made by kneading Italian chestnuts soaked in rum into brioche dough that is generously kneaded with maple sugar, resulting in a luxurious treat with the aroma of maple and rum, and the sweetness of chestnuts, wrapped in a moist, melt-in-your-mouth brioche dough. Only 50 pieces will be sold per day.

The special bread will be on sale at Ticket Pia from August 18th.
