Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court will be offering a cheese-based dessert course called "Dessert de Fromage" for two weeks only, from July 27th to August 9th.

First Course: Creme d'Ange "Summer Clouds" (Fresh cheese on the left)

The course consists of five items: "Créme d'Ange," a dessert combining cheese with fresh cream and meringue; "Ice Cream;" "Cheesecake;" "Tourte Fromage," a baked cheesecake made with goat's milk; and "Mignardises," bite-sized sweets. Each ice cream uses a different cheese and seasonal fruit.

The first, "Crème d'Anjou," is made with mild fresh cheese and passion fruit. It's soft and light, inspired by clouds floating in a summer sky. The refreshing passion fruit sauce adds a nice accent.

Second Ice Cream: "Under the Sunlight Filtering Through the Trees"

The second ice cream, "Under the Sunlight Filtering Through the Trees," is made with blue cheese and blackcurrant. The sweet and sour blackcurrant jam, lavender-scented foam, and honey make the blue cheese ice cream easy to eat and mellow in flavor.

3rd Item: Cheesecake "Blueberry Hill"

The third item is "Blueberry Hill," a chewy yet fluffy cheesecake made with fresh cheese and blueberries. The blueberry juice, herb jelly, and the gentle tartness of the lemon cream enhance the flavor of the cheese.

Dish 4: Tourte Fromange "Aroma of the Grassland"

The main dish is Tourte Fromange "Aroma of the Grassland." A traditional baked cheesecake made with goat's milk from western France, "Tourte Fromange" is characterized by its dark crust. It's topped with a nutty, fragrant hard cheese tuile (thinly baked cookie). Enjoy it with apricots sautéed in honey for a sweeter taste, a tart apricot sauce, and a refreshing yogurt foam. This can also be ordered individually (1,200 yen).

The final dish of the course is "Gifts from the Forest," a selection of mignardises made with a variety of cheeses and fruits. These adorable bite-sized treats use a variety of cheeses, from rich to light. They are combined with peach, red currant, melon, and more, and are made into small tarts and baked cheesecakes.

Herb Tea
The tartness of the cheese and the sweetness of the fruit are perfectly complemented by the refreshing taste of herb tea. Pairings such as "Lemon x Chamomile" and "Lemon Verbena x Mint" are also available.

Why not enjoy a refreshing dessert course in the highlands of Karuizawa, where a cool breeze blows even amid the hot summer sun?
