Dominique Ansel Bakery is celebrating the 5th anniversary of its signature Cronut®, bringing back a one-day limited-time flavor. It will be available in limited quantities at its Omotesando and Ginza Mitsukoshi stores on May 12th.
The original Cronut® is a hybrid dessert that combines a croissant and a doughnut. The flavors change every month at each store in each country, and normally you'll never get to taste the same flavor twice. This time, for one special day only, the legendary flavors that were first released at stores in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo will be re-released.
The "Cronut® Whole Set" (2,500 yen) is a bite-sized set that lets you enjoy all five of the legendary flavors of "Cronut®" at once: New York's "Rose & Vanilla," Tokyo's "Hokkaido Milk Honey & Yuzu," London's "Salted Butterscotch & Cocoa Nibs," and Los Angeles's "White Peach Amaretto & Moscovado Sugar," as well as Tokyo's May-only "Sweet Summer Orange & Pistachio."
Also, on the release date, May 12th, customers at the Omotesando and Ginza Mitsukoshi stores will receive a limited number of bite-sized "Cronut® Whole" cookies in the May-only flavor.
In addition, for Mother's Day on May 13th, we have the adorable "Mommy and Me Cake" (whole 12cm, ¥2,500) featuring a mother and duckling, and "Pull – Apart Carnation Cookies" featuring raspberry cookies resembling the delicate petals of carnations. The new products include the "Carnation Cookie" (4,500 yen) and the "Curry Bun" (360 yen), which is a curry that embodies the taste of homemade curry and is enclosed in a bread decorated with carnations. Both will be available for a limited time only, from May 11th to 13th. The "Carnation Cookie" will only be sold at the Ginza Mitsukoshi store.
