Hotel New Otani Makuhari will be holding a one-day special event, "Sweets Collection 2018," on May 3rd, where you can enjoy a buffet-style menu of around 40 different items, including the Super Sweets Series.

This annual sweets festival, which is sure to sell out every year, will be held again this Golden Week. The highlight will undoubtedly be the Super Sweets Series from Patisserie Satsuki, which is made using the finest ingredients and methods and has been featured in numerous media outlets. Among the top treats are the "Extra Super Melon Shortcake" (normally 3,800 yen), made with brown rice and egg dough from chickens raised on a brown rice diet, fresh almond milk cream from international celebrities, and Shizuoka-grown muskmelon, squeezed from a single tree for its concentrated nutritional flavor, as well as the "Super Chocolate Shortcake" (normally 1,550 yen), made with Santander chocolate from Colombia, known for its soft acidity and rich flavor. You can also enjoy as many exquisite sweets as you like, even those that cost over 3,000 yen per piece in stores.

Also available is Shinsuke Nakajima's new "edoSWEETS," a modern take on traditional Japanese sweets and ingredients. This new concept sweets shop offers a modern take on traditional sweets and ingredients, using Kyoto's Uji matcha, Hokkaido's dainagon and wasanbon sugar. Enjoy the fusion of Japanese and Western flavors with treats like the vibrant green of matcha, such as the "Edo Dainagon Shortcake" and "Edo Matcha Roll."

There are also many other must-see items on offer. From the "Napoleon Pie," beloved for over 50 years since the founding of Hotel New Otani Tokyo, to the addictively rich hotel-made ice cream and refreshingly refreshing glass desserts, there's more than enough sweet treats to eat. There's also a full lineup of non-sweet items, including original sandwiches and fresh salads made with hotel-made bread.
Premium seats are also available, perfect for those who want to fully enjoy this event that is a must-have for sweets fans. In addition to being able to sit near the buffet table, you can enter 20 minutes earlier than general guests and enjoy the sweets buffet for up to 110 minutes. You will also receive a wonderful souvenir. The premium seats, where you can enjoy a dreamlike sweet time, are sure to fill up quickly. For reservations and inquiries, please call (043-297-7676).
