J.S. BURGERS CAFE's spring limited-time menu features a burger and strawberry drink reimagined with traditional Japanese ingredients.

American-style hamburger shop J.S. BURGERS CAFE will be releasing a limited-time spring menu on April 3rd. The menu features three Japanese-themed American dishes: hamburgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs, reimagined with Japanese ingredients.

"Sukiyaki Bacon Cheeseburger" (1,380 yen)

The "Sukiyaki Bacon Cheeseburger" (1,380 yen) combines sukiyaki, a classic Japanese dish, with a bacon cheeseburger. A thick beef patty is coated in a sweet and spicy sauce reminiscent of sukiyaki broth, and topped with a mellow egg yolk sauce. The sweetness and texture of grilled chrysanthemum and green onions, and the yuzu pepper that complements the Monterey Jack cheese add a nice accent. The subtle aroma of yuzu peel makes this a rich yet refreshing burger.

"Plum & Wasabi Beef Sandwich" (1,080 yen)

The "Plum & Wasabi Beef Sandwich" (1,080 yen) combines tender rose-colored roast beef with various Japanese condiments, inspired by meat sushi. The sandwich is based on an aioli sauce made with refreshingly savory plum paste and red shiso leaves. The texture of pickled plums, the aroma of shiso leaves, and the rich flavor of nori butter are all complemented by the refreshing spiciness of chopped wasabi.

Ginger & Miso Chili Dog ¥880

The "Ginger & Miso Chili Dog" is a Japanese chili dog made with rich, savory Hatcho miso, ginger, and spicy chili beans. Green onions and sour cream add a mellow flavor, while myoga relish adds a tart, texture-enhancing accent. Instead of coriander, it's topped with chopped mitsuba (Japanese parsley). It's finished with a sprinkling of fragrant roasted shichimi pepper.

All menu items come with fries seasoned with black sesame pepper salt.

In addition, CYCLE SHAKE BAR, a craft cocktail bar located at JS Burgers Cafe Shinjuku, will be introducing two limited-edition spring cocktails using strawberries.

The "Strawberry Latte" (700 yen) is a cocktail made mild by shaking craft bourbon "Maker's Mark" and milk in an original shaking machine that incorporates a bicycle wheel as the shaker handle. The tartness of juicy strawberries adds an accent. The "Strawberry & Mascarpone" (780 yen) is a cocktail that can be enjoyed like a sweet, combining "Maker's Mark" with vanilla ice cream and mascarpone cheese. Why not try this refreshing cocktail on the open terrace to get you in the spring mood?
