A Christmas-only course is available at the restaurant "Pavilion" under the Nakameguro elevated railway. Enjoy the food as if you were looking at artwork in an art museum.

Event Date:2017.12.22-12.25
Nov 24, 2017
Pavilion, a restaurant located under the Nakameguro elevated railway, will be offering a limited-time Christmas course for four days from December 22nd to 25th.

Pavilion, which exhibits and displays works by various artists, including Kohei Nawa, Tatsu Nishino, and Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction, is not a museum or gallery, but a restaurant whose philosophy is to "encourage people to enjoy art in a more casual manner, without any pretense, just as they would enjoy good food and drinks." This Christmas, the restaurant will offer a limited-time course that more strongly embodies Pavilion's concept: "Turn every dining table into a work of art, and enjoy a beloved dinner." The course menu will be created by Pavilion's chefs, inspired by existing art.

Above is an appetizer titled "Can We Break Pop Art?" This dish features a graphical arrangement of colorful seafood, and the tartare, which brings out the full flavor of the ingredients, is combined in various ways to create a synergistic effect. You can also enjoy discovering the perfect balance with your own taste buds.

A Kuroge Wagyu sirloin steak and inner round tartare boldly presented on a bone-in dish called "The Other Side of the Ame no Ohashi Bridge." The sweet potato puree, accented with mustard, and the red wine sauce, with a subtle hint of Niigata's Kagura Nanban miso, are a perfect match. Flash-smoked over cherry wood, the aroma and fat melt together in your mouth. The seven-course meal includes champagne, amuse-bouche, cold appetizer, hot appetizer, fish dish, meat dish, and dessert. Reservations can be made on the website (https://yoyaku.toreta.in/pavilion/#/).
