This year, Isetan Shinjuku will once again host "ISEPAN!", its annual bread festival, where the venue will be filled with the aroma of bread. A lineup of 43 brands will be gathered together, offering a dazzling array of bread, including masterpieces by world champions baked on-site and exclusive collaborations that bread lovers will not want to miss, as well as soft, melt-in-your-mouth sweet bread, gourmet sandwiches, bread that goes well with alcohol, and more.

"ISEPAN! 2022" will launch on the Isetan Mitsukoshi online site ahead of the in-store event. You'll be the first to purchase bread-related items, frozen bread, and items that go perfectly with bread.

Bakers competing in international bread competitions will collaborate at the venue!


Japan's representatives, champions, and coaches from the World Bread Championships will team up to bake their signature breads and exclusive ISEPAN! breads!


This collaboration combines the bread that Chef Ryuzo Abe of Boulangerie Parisgo, who coached Japan to second place and two first places at the 6th, 7th, and 8th Mondial du Pain international bread competitions, entered when he represented Japan at the Mondial du Pain in 2013, with a croissant by Chef Omurata of Wanderlust, who won a prize at the 2012 IBA Cup, a world bread competition held in Germany. This ISEPAN! limited edition features a crispy texture matched with the sharp acidity of passion fruit.

This sandwich was entered in the competition by Chef Yoshinori Taniguchi of , who won the overall championship at the 2021 Mondial du Pain and became the world's best, and Chef Masana Kitamine of , who served as his assistant at the competition and herself won the 4th Best Young Boulanger Competition in 2020. It is a dish that cherishes the Japanese spirit, with pork shabu-shabu, ponzu jelly, and watercress sandwiched between red miso and brown rice bread.
