Shu Uemura Beauty Boutique, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, reopened its Omotesando Hills flagship store (Omotesando Hills West Building 1, 4-12-10 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on February 27th after a renovation. The shop window displays the "shu CLOCK," a "makeup clock" that tells the time. It's linked to the brand's official smartphone app, "shu SLOT." For a limited time until March 20th, matching the app and clock designs will earn you a gift. The interior of the store expresses the brand's concept with black modular walls. Lacquer and pearl powder are used in the spaces between them as new signature materials. This is the result of a collaboration with Hakuichi, a long-established Kanazawa gold leaf manufacturer, and the pearl powder creates a brushed pattern on the white plaster. To celebrate the brand's renewal, the "Lac Supria Special Kit" is also available. This kit allows customers to choose three items from the "Lac Supria" liquid lipstick, "Gloss Unlimited," and "Tint in Gelato." The kit will be presented in a special lacquered case. Furthermore, customers who purchase items worth 5,000 yen or more will receive an "original canvas tote bag" featuring the brand's logo, and customers who purchase two (450ml) bottles of cleansing oil from the three options—"Ultime8 Sublime Beauty," "A/O Youth Glow," and "Blanc Chroma Bright & Polish"—will receive a free "Blanc Chroma Bright & Polish Cleansing Oil." These renewal commemorative items are limited in quantity and will be available until stock runs out. The Omotesando Hills flagship store also offers the "Learning Atelier," where customers can learn makeup techniques one-on-one. Highlights from the lesson can be taken home as a video. Two types of courses are available: a basic lesson (100 minutes/12,960 yen) and a makeup lesson (90 minutes/10,290 yen).
