Francfranc furniture shop L.A.G moves from Aoyama to Kichijoji

May 10, 2013

On May 10th, L.A.G. by Francfranc, the furniture-focused flagship store of Francfranc, an interior design shop operated by BALS, opened in Kichijoji. The store opened as a limited-time store in Aoyama from October last year to February this year, but has now relocated to Kichijoji permanently due to land development issues. The store offers the full lineup of Francfranc furniture. The 1,170-square-meter store spans three floors. The first floor is dedicated to home accessories, the second floor to living rooms and fabrics, and the third floor to dining and bedrooms. The third-floor bedrooms offer products from Francfranc Hotels & Resorts, designed by designers Keita Maruyama and Alan Chan. The store also offers a full selection of goods and miscellaneous items produced by each designer. By displaying the products as if they were part of a room, the store aims to offer hints on lifestyle and living. The average price range is between ¥30,000 and ¥40,000.
Also, on the first floor is the cafe "MUG by Francfranc," the second store after the one in Gaienmae. Drinks and coffee beans are sold. All of the furniture is Francfranc's.
"Due to the positive reception of L.A.G, which was located in Aoyama for four months until February, we decided to open a permanent store in Kichijoji, the 'No. 1 city to live in' and a place where discerning customers, from singles to families, gather. The Francfranc stores in other areas mainly sell general merchandise, and since they are small, they don't have much space for furniture. For that reason, by opening L.A.G, we have created a system that guides customers who want to 'see for themselves' from the smaller stores to the larger stores. Furthermore, this store is themed around 'sound,' and has installed a high-quality sound system. We have set up a turntable on the first floor, and we plan to regularly invite DJs to play background music. We also hope to continue developing it as an event space," said a Bals public relations representative.
