FENDI's flagship store, "FENDI GINZA," one of Japan's largest, will open in Ginza SIX, a new commercial facility opening on April 20th in Ginza 6-chome.
The concept of the flagship store is inspired by Rome, the eternal city where the brand was founded approximately 90 years ago and where FENDI's roots are firmly rooted. The facade, designed by French architect Gwenael Nicolas, draws an emotional connection between the iconic arch of Rome's monumental building, Palazzo della Civilta Italiana, and Japan's traditional "noren" curtain curtain.
Entering the entrance on Chuo-dori Street, a giant object called "Fur Tree" will come into view, suspended from the ceiling. This piece, created by Japanese flower artist Azuma Makoto, who is active both in Japan and abroad, makes generous use of the Maison's signature fur pompoms, further emphasizing the Fendi worldview. The boutique's most iconic display, the "Spike Wall," located directly in front of the entrance, is adorned with items such as the iconic "Baguette" bag.

The four-story maisonette store, spanning from the basement to the third floor, has a different feel on each floor. Divided vertically into three zones, the first floor showcases handbags and accessories. The bright second floor, filled with natural light, houses the shoe area and ready-to-wear room, displaying ready-to-wear and fur. The third floor, with its chic black interior, houses the VIP room and made-to-order area. The basement floor, with its chic brown color scheme, is the men's floor, where a wide range of clothing, shoes, and bags are on display.

A grand staircase made of black and gold Portoro marble connects each floor. A custom-made chandelier by lighting designer Lindsey Adelman adds a unique touch to the central atrium.

The biggest talking points of this store are the installation of a VIP room, the first of its kind in a Fendi store in Japan, and the introduction of the world's first made-to-order furwear service. The latter is an unprecedented attempt in the fashion industry, and could only be made possible by Fendi being the only luxury brand with its own fur workshop. Based on a special sample, customers can choose the shape of their outerwear from five styles, and select the cashmere color scheme, fur design, personalized label, size, etc. After ordering, it will be completed in about two to four months, and a team of master artisans will be in charge of production. Your own unique piece, which is a culmination of skilled craftsmanship, is sure to be something special.
