The lapel jacket is made of nylon, which has a "crunchy" feel. While it has become a common fashion item these days, not long ago it was only available to those with access to collection and fashion brands.
TEATORA, which launched in 2013, has focused on the functional aspects of synthetic fibers and has been working to break down the rigid image of synthetic fibers. It targets creators such as photographers and industrial designers, using words like "comfort" and "wrinkle-resistant." It is also popular as "workwear" for those with active work styles.
This season, new items have been added to the lineup: jackets and trousers with excellent shape recovery. "In terms of practicality, they have something superior to other brands," says PR representative Nakamuro Taisuke of Murofis. We spoke to him again about the appeal of the THEATRA brand and the new items.
"I've been involved since the brand's launch, and the first season started with just two pairs of pants. They were designed for people who work in an Eames Lounge Chair and an Aeron Chair. In fact, there were only two pairs of pants at the exhibition. My first impression was that it was a very stoic brand."
"But the truth is, they spend so much time on the product development that they only had two pairs of pants at the first exhibition. In fact, Kamide had been planning the project in his mind even before the brand launched."

Murophis Representative: Taisuke Nakamuro
The designer is Daisuke Kamide. He founded THEATRA after gaining experience working for domestic brands that hold runway shows at Tokyo Collection. His own brand was the complete opposite of his previous creations, aiming for "real clothes", a term that didn't even exist at the time.
Theatre developed its products based on the concept of "functional clothing for intellectual professionals". Thanks to the impact of its first season, the brand gradually became more well-known. "As our brand becomes more well-known, the demands on us increase. This is where finding the right materials becomes important. Synthetic fibers are lightweight and wrinkle-resistant, but there are so many fabric manufacturers that it's extremely difficult to find the perfect material." "Fortunately, Japan has many excellent fabric manufacturers, making it easy to find materials that meet designers' needs. For example, since last year, we've been working with Teijin Frontier to develop fabrics using their Solotex® material. Our designers are so enamored with this material that it inspired us to start a new line."

"Also, this jacket has no armholes. It's a bit different from raglan sleeves, but the front sleeves and body are made from a single piece of fabric. This dramatically increases ease of movement. I've worn many jackets made from stretch material before, but this is the first time I've worn one with such a wide range of motion around the shoulders."
The pants also offer an unprecedented level of comfort. Wear them as a set and you'll experience the same level of comfort as a "fully flat-flat seat on an airplane."
"Suits made from delicate wool fabrics are extremely delicate, so many people worry about wrinkles while working. It's not uncommon to find your pants wrinkled around the knees after a long meeting. This material isn't just wrinkle-resistant; it's also highly resilient, so it eliminates the stress of wearing it. It's also easy to care for—just hang it on a hanger. You really don't have to do anything."

The wrinkles return to their original shape even after packing and taking it out of your bag, making it ideal for business trips. In fact, you can even wear this set to travel, give a presentation, and come back. This one outfit covers everything from travel to presentation on a business trip.
Maximizing performance at work. Teatra will continue to change the concept of "work" in the future. And it is important to note that Japanese fabric manufacturers have contributed to the foundation of this.
The doors of Teatra, the new era of comfort, are open to smart gentlemen who understand that a comfortable work style leads to results.
