Create your ideal living space through renovations and interior coordination. The home of interior and product designers Setsugu Ito and Nobuyuki Ito. "The terrace is an important space for connecting with nature when living in a big city like Milan. We both love greenery, so we chose a terrace surrounded by it. We placed wire sculptures of our own design in the planter space. The terrace measures over 100 square meters. By opening the door separating the terrace from the interior, you can seamlessly connect the outdoors and the indoors (kitchen area)." The outdoor furniture on the terrace was designed by Mr. and Mrs. Ito. They enjoy rearranging the furniture depending on the weather.

The kitchen space is designed so that it can be connected to the terrace by opening the door. It seems that they often carry food cooked in the kitchen to the table on the terrace and enjoy pasta and wine for lunch.

Following the terrace, we will introduce the staircase landing. The original was a four-story apartment building in Milan in the 1950s, and the linghiera (handrail) on the staircase is from that time. Backlit paintings are displayed instead of lighting. The sculptural coat hangers installed in the same space are also impressive.

■Living Room

This is the living room, which has a ceiling height of over 4m. The fabric for the roller curtains used throughout the house was designed by the Ito couple and woven by a textile company in Como. A ceiling fan has been installed in the ceiling structure to ensure constant circulation of air within the room. The ceiling is fitted with a skylight, so the room is always bright and pleasant.

In one corner of the dining room, there is a sculpture of a beloved cat made from cactus and cedarwood. This art piece is also the work of Mr. and Mrs. Ito.
