Event Period: Friday, September 17th - Thursday, October 14th

Sawai Textile Factory

This textile factory has been in business for over 100 years in Hachioji, a city known for its thriving sericulture and weaving industries and known as the "City of Mulberry." While continuing to produce the traditional craft of Tama weaving, the factory's motto is to create works of art that place an emphasis on texture. The looms they use are also unique, with a low density to create space for the yarn to expand, and a twill weave used, which allows the yarn to float more and gives the fabric just the right thickness and softness.

Fringe Wool Stole
This soft and warm stole has a textured feel even though it is plain, thanks to the heavy felting process. The raw material is yarn made from high-quality, extra-fine Australian wool, so it does not become stiff even after being shrunk.
14,300 yen

Air wool stole
Made using high-quality yarn that is carefully spun in Japan from fine lamb's wool. It is woven with specially processed yarn, and the finishing process after weaving creates gaps in the yarn, allowing it to trap air, making it very light and warm. The stole is smooth, soft, and doesn't irritate the skin.
14,850 yen

YOKOI

As a long-established hat factory, with the motto of "making products with the user in mind," they produce kindergarten caps, felt hats, Basque berets, straw hats as well as hats used in parades and marching bands, and continue to make most of their products by hand.

Extra Fine Wool Beret
Its deep, rounded silhouette is adorable, reminiscent of a toque. The high-quality extra fine wool is made using yarn spun domestically. The raw material is wool harvested from Merino lambs within the age of six months and produced in the Geelong region of Australia, a world-renowned wool-producing region known for its particularly high quality.
7,590 yen

Super Comeback Wool Bucket Hat
This hat is named after its short brim, which resembles a bucket when held upside down. Once knitted, it is shrunk, giving it a light, soft texture and a soft, spongy fluffiness. It has excellent moisture retention properties and can be rolled up or folded for easy portability.
6,600 yen

Creed

Creed has a long history of finding the finest materials both in Japan and abroad and creating a variety of bags at skilled factories. This bag is made using fabric from the Enshu region (western Shizuoka Prefecture), long known for its textile production, and is carefully sewn at a domestic factory. The base fabric is 100% cotton, and is an Unsai weave woven with double threads (thread made by twisting two threads together) for both the warp and weft. Weaving with double threads results in a beautiful woven surface with little fuzz, and has been used for items such as tabi soles. It is characterized by its thickness and sturdy texture.

The dyeing is done by hand in small cauldrons by artisans, and the fabric is dried in the sun and strong winds unique to the Enshu region, known as the "Enshu Karatsukaze." This reduces wastewater emissions compared to machine dyeing, and by relying on natural energy to dry the fabric, it also saves on fossil fuels such as oil that power the machines, contributing to CO2 reductions and the prevention of global warming, making it an eco-friendly fabric.

By not applying mechanical pressure or tension to the fabric, the natural texture of the fabric is brought out, resulting in a finish with natural, distinctive uneven color and wrinkles.

Fukuda Gloves

Founded in 1913, Fukuda Gloves has been in business for nearly 100 years. Each process is carefully completed by hand by artisans. The reason for this commitment to handwork is that gloves are used on the hands, a place that requires the most sensitive and delicate movements. They create a delicate feel that cannot be replicated by machine. Behind this is sophisticated technology that combines the experience and intuition of specialized artisans.

Eco-Fur Gloves
These fingerless gloves feature soft eco-fur from Wakayama Prefecture on the back. The simple, subdued colours make them easy to coordinate with any outfit.
6,050 yen

Boa Gloves
These gloves are a combination of boa and jersey, with leather patches as an accent to the design. The fingerless design makes it easy to work while wearing them, and allows your fingers to move freely.
5,500 yen

Wool 2-way long rib
These 2-way gloves can be converted into short gloves by folding back the long rib. Using expert techniques, 2mm from the edge of the cut fabric is sewn, leaving no excess fabric on the inside and creating a beautiful, slender silhouette for your fingers. You can also use your smartphone.
5,500 yen

Suzuki Socks

Founded in 1958, Suzuki Socks is located in Shiki District, Nara Prefecture. The rice bran fiber is made by further enhancing the abundant natural ingredients found in rice bran (r-oryzanol, ferulic acid) and kneading them into the yarn together with rice bran oil. The rice bran's moisturizing ingredients make these socks soft, moist, and smooth to the touch, and the opening is gentle and does not constrict the foot. These socks address the concerns of a wide range of people, including those who suffer from swollen feet, those who get tired easily from standing jobs, and pregnant and postpartum women.

Fukushin

Fukushin was founded in 1977 in Higashikagawa, Kagawa Prefecture, a famous glove production area. When socks are normally made on a sock knitting machine, the fabric needs to be sewn together, but when made on a glove knitting machine, they can be knitted three-dimensionally without any seams, resulting in a beautiful finish and comfortable socks with no rough edges. Their double-layered room slip-ons are also reversible as they are made of two pieces connected together. Knitting using a molded process eliminates the need for cutting and minimizes the waste that is inevitably produced in manufacturing, making these sustainable items environmentally friendly. They are soft and fluffy, making them perfect for relaxing at home.
