The Westin Tokyo (Meguro-ku, Tokyo) will be offering the "Brandy Chestnut Butter Sandwich," a classic autumn dessert featuring chestnuts, for a limited time from September 1 to November 30, 2021.

Pastry boutique "Westin Deli" sells the "Westin Butter Sandwich," a moist and light sable sandwich filled with custard sauce and butter cream fragrant with fresh butter. In addition to the regular "Rum Raisin" and "Fig" flavors, the hotel will also be offering the "Brandy Chestnut Butter Sandwich," a fall-only flavor featuring rich chestnuts glazed in a gorgeous touch of brandy.

This luxurious, seasonal dessert features Executive Pastry Chef Kazuo Suzuki's signature rich butter cream made from high-quality fresh butter, combined with autumn-inducing chestnuts and mellow brandy.

The Westin Deli, a pastry boutique offering cakes lined up in the display case as well as carefully crafted pastries, bakery goods, and gift items, will be offering the Brandy Chestnut Butter Sandwich, a limited-edition autumn version of its popular Westin Butter Sandwich, from September to November. The butter cream is made with fresh butter and custard, luxuriously combined with marron glacé and chestnut paste, and is softly coated with the perfect blend of brandy. The cream, rich with a gentle chestnut flavor, is sandwiched between a light, melt-in-your-mouth sable cookie. The delicious combination of buttercream, chestnuts, and brandy that spreads in your mouth creates a delicious dessert perfect for autumn.

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1967. Appointed Executive Pastry Chef at The Westin Tokyo in 2000. He oversees all pastry items in restaurants, lounges, banquets, etc. With a wide repertoire ranging from traditional European confectioneries to original, creative sweets, he is constantly developing new products. He is in charge of the dessert buffet at The Terrace at the same hotel, captivating many sweets fans.
