On May 16th, Givenchy opened its first roadside flagship store in Japan at ONE (3-5-29 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) in Omotesando, Tokyo. The 392-square-meter store, with two aboveground and one underground floor, is an evolution of its flagship store at 28 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, embodying a sensuality and neoclassicism. The façade, featuring a central cross motif, is crafted from specially treated stainless steel with meshed aluminum accents. 11-meter-tall panes of glass are set into both sides of the panel, creating a striking contrast. Accessories are sold on the first floor, women's on the second floor, and men's on the basement floor. The boutique features five cubicle-sized boxes crafted from charred black oak, inspired by the Givenchy boxes used to deliver haute couture. Women's and men's clothing and accessories are displayed separately. The accessories on the first floor and the women's clothing boxes on the second floor are clad in white marble and Calacatta marble, while the men's clothing in the basement is clad in gray volcanic rock. The accessories are displayed on Calacatta marble shelves and with teardrop-shaped Calacatta marble and Gold Plus fixtures. The floor is made of herringbone oak, reminiscent of the maisons on Boulevard Georges V.
The store carries clothing, bags, shoes, and other accessories. To commemorate the opening, a limited edition monochrome floral camouflage print women's bag, "PANDORA," will be released. The inner pocket has a metal plate engraved with a serial number, proving that it is an item exclusive to the Omotesando store.
The opening reception held on the 15th was attended by many celebrities, including designer Riccardo Tisci, Naomi Campbell, Anna Dello Russo, Jean-Jacques Piccard, Kikuchi Rinko, and Tanaka Kyoko.
