Breakfast restaurants around the world will be serving "Mongolian Breakfast" in September and October, a unique food culture! Can't tell the difference between tea and soup?

Aug 30, 2016

WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY will be offering a "Mongolian Breakfast" (1,500 yen) from September 6th to October 30th.

In Mongolia, it is customary to produce and preserve various dairy products rather than drinking livestock milk as is. This "Mongolian Breakfast" will feature a rich, clotted cream-like dish made from fresh milk. Guests can experience the classic Mongolian breakfast of dipping urumu in bortsok, a fried doughnut-like dish.

Also, for dinner, the classic dish is chanasan makh, a salted, boiled lamb bone-in dish, served with gambir, a thin, unleavened bread. Potato salad and tomsni salat, introduced from the Soviet Union, have also been added. Guests can also dip cheese, naan, and other foods into suutetsai, a unique Mongolian milk tea, which blurs the line between soup and tea.

In addition to drinks and soups such as nutritious Mongolian fruit juices, there will also be a wide variety of side dishes and desserts. There are also plans to hold events such as workshops related to Mongolia during the event.
