A pancake event called "Harajuku Summer Pancake Festival" will be held at ROCKET (6-9-6 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and VACANT (3-20-13 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) in Harajuku, Tokyo, by Yukiko Tomiyama, author of "Pancake Notes" (published by Little More).

Over five days from the 2nd to the 6th of next month, she will propose "home-baked" pancakes under the title "Summer Pancake Independent Study - Thick and Delicious Pancakes at Home." At ROCKET, there will be author talk events such as "Let's Try It! Pancake Flour Tasting Comparison!" (starting at 7:20 PM on the 2nd, 1,500 yen), and a workshop called "Let's Bake It! Aim for Super-Thick Pancakes Like in Picture Books!" (starting at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM on the 3rd, 2,000 yen). At VACANT, Tomiyama will also be appearing at a talk event on the 4th. During the event, a "5 Types of Pancake Flour Tasting Set" selected by Tomiyama will be available, and pancake flour can also be purchased.

Tomiyama, a writer and researcher, started eating pancakes, comparing pancake mixes, and collecting related books around 2010, and is currently exploring new pancake varieties at a pace of 200 meals a year. This is her first published work, and it is a tagged pancake guide that allows you to search for shops based on your mood that day or who you are accompanying.
