Beer garden opens on the rooftop of Isetan Shinjuku! A variety of Asian food available in one place

Jul 30, 2013

Asian Terrace 2013, a beer garden targeting families and adult women, will be held on the rooftop of Isetan Shinjuku from July 31st to September 1st. Opening hours are from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM on weekdays (from 3:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays). Events will be canceled in the event of rain.
The menu theme is "Mingle Asian" (a fusion of diverse food cultures), and will offer dishes from Vietnam, a former French colony, Singapore, a blend of Middle Eastern and Thai cuisine, as well as Thailand, India, and China.
The menu will focus on Asian food, including banh mi (a sandwich with Vietnamese food on French bread), Vietnamese beef stew, and Laotian larb gai (a spicy Laotian-style minced chicken salad), with a wide variety of salads aimed at women. This year, traditional Okinawan dishes such as goya chanpuru will also be available.

Drinks include draft beer from Okinawa's Orion Beer, fruit-flavored cocktails and wines that women will love, such as cassis and mango, and SOCO Ginger (a cocktail made with Southern Comfort), as well as smoothies and Malaysian shaved ice ice kachang during the day.

The venue will have approximately 220 seats inside the I-Garden Stage. From August 10th, approximately 180 seats will be added to the lawn area. In addition, from August 14th to 20th, the first 20 people each day who come wearing a yukata will receive a free dessert.
