Sanyo Shokai's Blue Label Crestbridge and Black Label Crestbridge, which debuted in Fall/Winter 2015-16 and are now in their second season, presented their Spring/Summer 2016 collection on October 19th at the rooftop bar on the 52nd floor of Hotel Andaz Tokyo in Toranomon, Tokyo. Yasuhiro Mihara served as creative director. Blue Label Crestbridge, which develops women's wear, has titled the season's theme "ACQUIRE MARINE," adding a fresh marine essence to classic traditional style. The "Crestbridge check," which made an impression as the brand's new icon at its debut, has been given a refreshing evolution with the inclusion of spring-like pink as an accent color. In addition to wearable items such as marine coats, half-length trench-style jackets, and pleated skirts, the collection will also expand its range of low-priced accessories, such as hair accessories and handkerchiefs, to further enhance styling suggestions.
Meanwhile, Black Label Crestbridge, which develops menswear, presented the season's theme around two keywords: "GENTLEMANLY NAVAL," showcasing a military yet effortless style, for the first half of the show, and "ALTERNATIVE IVY," which reimagines Ivy League style into street style using denim, for the second half. As with the women's collection, the collection features casual, traditional items using the "Crestbridge check," featuring spring/summer colors like blue and white, and primarily denim. Also, starting this season, the brand will release two suits and two coats made with domestically produced materials.
At a press conference held before the show, Tsuguo Utsumi, general manager of the brand's business division, said, "With Yasuhiro Mihara now supervising, we are now able to propose total coordination including shoes. In the market, in addition to domestic and inbound customers, we are also expanding the range of new fashion-conscious customers." In the future, to further increase brand awareness, the company plans to air television commercials nationwide, as well as hold brand fairs and transportation advertisements.
