The first store for MACKINTOSH LONDON, a British licensed brand being newly developed by Sanyo Shokai Co., Ltd. as one of its core businesses, opened on July 14th at Keikyu Department Store in Yokohama (1-6-1 Kamiooka Nishi, Konan-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture).
The sales floor is located on the site of Burberry London, whose license agreement with Sanyo Shokai expired in June. The women's section on the fourth floor is approximately 125 square meters, and the men's section on the sixth floor is approximately 106 square meters. Both floors offer a wide range of items to meet customer needs, from formal wear to casual wear, leather goods, ties and other accessories.
Mackintosh London Division Manager Hideaki Nagai said, "We aimed for high quality that gives the kind of presence, dignity, and sense of security that has been around for a long time, so we can recommend it with confidence. At the customer order event held in the two days before the opening, we received orders worth 10 million yen, and bags, small leather goods, umbrellas and other accessories, which have not been widely offered at Burberry, have been particularly well received."
