British brand Lavenham joins Fred Perry Group

Fred Perry, a British brand under Hit Union, has acquired 100% of the shares of fellow UK-based brand LAVENHAM. Nicky Santomauro will continue to serve as LAVENHAM's managing director, leveraging the Fred Perry Group's financial resources and connections. LAVENHAM products will continue to be produced at the company's factory in Suffolk, England. Distribution in Japan will continue to be handled by Watanabe & Co., Ltd. LAVENHAM was founded in 1969 with the invention of the first nylon quilted horse blanket. Having established a presence in the equestrian equipment industry, LAVENHAM has focused on men's and women's clothing since 1982 and is a highly regarded British outerwear brand. LAVENHAM has collaborated with brands such as KENZO, EDWIN, and GUCCI. It first arrived in Japan in 1993. Currently exporting to nine countries worldwide, exports account for over 75% of sales.

Fred Perry was founded in 1952 and operates through over 100 directly operated stores and wholesalers in 75 countries around the world. The brand has collaborated with RAF SIMONS and cyclist Bradley Wiggins.
