Gucci has released a short film, "Bamboo Confidential," as part of its global campaign for its iconic "Bamboo." The film, which focuses on this year's new fall/winter handbags, the "Bamboo Shopper" and "Ladylock," was shot at London's Savoy Hotel, where the brand's founder, Guccio Gucci, worked as an elevator boy in the early 1900s. The story revolves around a mysterious protagonist who evades paparazzi by changing into a costume coat hidden in a Bamboo Shopper in the elevator. Bamboo is an iconic symbol of the brand's 64-year history. Starting in October, a special display, "Bamboo Forever," will be rolled out around the world, showcasing vintage Gucci products and rare photographs of longtime Bamboo wearers, including Ingrid Bergman. The video also features historical catalogs, advertising visuals, and videos documenting the evolution of bamboo bags and the artisanal manufacturing process.
