TOD'S presented its SS14 collection under new creative director Alessandra Facchinetti at Milan Fashion Week. This was the brand's first runway show.
The collection showcased the brand's signature elegant use of leather. Leather was used throughout the pieces, including skirts and dresses with cutwork and perforation, gathered one-shoulder dresses, and backless tank tops. Each piece exuded a unique character thanks to the intentional flare and tension of the leather. The fitted skirts had slits at the sides, creating an elegant flowing look.
The silhouettes were relaxed around the torso, with slightly dropped shoulders and wide sleeves. The shirts were cinched at the waist and accented with a thin leather belt. They were paired with flared skirts for a contrasting look.
The main colors were pink, red, reddish-brown, orange, and gray. White was used for trimmings and color blocking. The footwear was flat. Quilted moccasins and sandals were featured. Various variations of bags, including the brand's iconic "Serra" bag, were also showcased.
