The legendary stadium jacket beloved by Michael Jackson is back in print. The 1980s social phenomenon "Sailor Fashion Boom" is back in Harajuku!

Nov 12, 2015

Following a 14-year revival in May of last year, SAILORS will once again return to Laforet Harajuku. From December 10th to 13th, the brand will host its first-ever custom order event in the first-floor entrance space.

Sailors became a social phenomenon in the 1980s and '90s. Their popularity began when they were used as costumes for the idol group Onyanko Club. The brand's popularity spread beyond Japan and around the world, with major stars like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder even wearing them in their private lives. This custom order event will feature a reproduction of a 30-year-old varsity jacket, featuring patterns and embroidery from 1985. By choosing the color, size, and embroidery, and adding a name, customers can create a one-of-a-kind jacket. Customers who order will also receive a free original cookie on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers can also order T-shirts with customizable colors, sizes, and prints.

Limited-edition items such as T-shirts (sizes 0-3: 5,900 yen, sizes 4-5: 6,900 yen, size 8: 10,000 yen), knit caps (3,000 yen), and Christmas sets (3,000 yen) will also be on sale at the venue.
